We love being active in our community and giving back!
Giving back to our community is a large part of who we are. We believe in supporting our local non-profit businesses that make other people’s lives better. We are proud sponsors of the Kirkland Boys and Girls Club, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. Lake Washington School Foundation and various youth sports leagues on the Eastside. We also support the local food banks and every holiday season we adopt a family and provide them with food and items needed to make their holiday brighter. We like to feature the efforts of our clients and what they do in the community as well by sharing their stories in our quarterly newsletter. If you have a story about your favorite charity, we’d love to feature it in a future edition! Contact us at the office to get started.

Agent Community Involvement:
Ken has served as a Cub Scout Leader and Boy Scout Leader for the past 7 years. The last 6 years he has coached or been an assistant coach for youth soccer, flag football, basketball and baseball for teams on the Eastside. Ken is involved with the WatchDog program through the Lake Washington School District as well as part of the PTSA. He volunteers at both his daughters elementary school and sons middle school acting as a chaperone for week long camping trips.
Diane has served on the PTSA Board at Bell Elementary for the past 6 years as Fundraising VP, Membership Chair, Enrichment Chair, Communications Chair, Treasurer, and President. While on the board Diane was able to work with a great group of parents to help implemented many new programs/events for Bell Elementary, from a school Walk A Thon to raise money for many school programs, new enrichment programs and 5th grade camp for all 5th graders. Diane was a Girl Scout leader for 3 years and has coached youth basketball for over 10 years. Diane also has served as treasurer and popcorn kernel for her sons Cub Scout troop and volunteers her time at both her daughter’s elementary school and her son’s middle school.
For the past 5 years I have been involved in Cub Scouts with my son and husband. I have been the Popcorn Kernel for Pack 711, a den leader and creative counselor. We have been involved in several charity events. We have collected food for the Maple Valley food bank, each year surpassing the prior year’s collection; we wrote thank you cards to 911 first responders from Maple Valley, we have sang Christmas Carrols to the elderly at care facilities in our area and made them Holiday cards.
Our son has now bridged to Boy Scouts and we continue to support our local Boy Scout troop with our volunteer time being a Merit badge counselor. To raise money for Boy Scout camp and their scouting costs, we have created a business enterprise called Scout Made. We help the boys organize the donated supplies to make candles, and other small crafts. I mentor the boys and help them make, label and sell their candles at craft fairs.
Owning a home based designer cake company; I have donated several custom designed cakes to the Humane Society of Tacoma’s Fundraiser Gala for 3 years in a row, raising over $1500 in total. I have also organized and led a “Bake Across America” bake sale to raise money for Childhood Hunger in America.
I have been an active member of Lake Wilderness Elementary PTSA for 5 years, and helped raise money to send our 5th graders to Camp Casey.
The past seven years I have been busy with Cub Scouts as a Den Leader, volunteer as a parent in the Tahoma School District, and a member of the Cedar River Middle School PTSA. I also keep myself busy with the local youth music scene as a member of the Tahoma School District Band Boosters, and a volunteer with Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra.
